This week Croom assigned us our final project. The project is supposed to be a reflection of what we learned this semester, and from there we had the option to choose how we wanted to display that. Part of this project was to look back at our weekly blog posts from PR Pubs and wow did I learn a lot. At the beginning of the semester, I was hopeful but also very confused and lost in this class as mentioned here. As the semester progressed, I started to grasp things easier and figure out what my design style was. As the semester continued, I saw this in my classmates as well. The room went from loud chatter and confusion to a quiet and peaceful environment the farther along in the semester we worked. Everyone's moods had shifted from insecure and unsure to confident and steadfast. Or, at least that's how I felt. I think one of the main reasons I enjoyed this class as much as I did was because of my professor Croom. He is always so invested in helping his students and giving us feedback. Honestly, this was my favorite class of the semester because of the people I was surrounded by and how much I learned about myself. This semester has been the toughest semester that I have experienced thus far, and near the beginning, I was unhopeful and didn't know what do with myself. This class was almost a safe haven for me because it helped me zone out of my everyday life and enjoy being in the moment by being able to express myself creatively. I learned this semester that with time things get easier whether that's in the classroom or life in general. As Dory from Finding Nemo would say, "Just Keep Swimming". With the semester coming to an end soon I can't help but think how grateful I am to go to a university where both students and professors are always rooting for me.
